HELB Opens Application Portal for Eligible Candidates

The Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) has announced the opening of its application portal, inviting all eligible candidates to apply for financial assistance.

In their statement, HELB emphasized the importance of seizing this opportunity and encouraged timely applications before the set deadline.

HELB also provided a detailed list of requirements that applicants need to fulfill for a successful application.

Prospective applicants must have a valid email address and telephone number prior to starting the application process. Additionally, they need to provide their Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) and Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) index numbers along with the years they sat for these exams.

Applicants are also required to upload a passport-size photograph in jpeg, jpg, or png format.

Similar to other application processes, candidates must submit a copy of their National Identification cards or Maisha cards, ensuring both sides are in PDF format.

To facilitate the disbursement of funds, applicants need to provide valid bank details or a registered MPESA number under their name and ID number. For those under 18, a birth certificate in PDF format can be submitted instead of an ID.

Applicants who received sponsorships during secondary school must also upload a copy of the sponsorship letter in PDF format.
