The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has moved its services from analog access to digital through TSC Online services. This has enhanced efficiency and convenience among teachers seeking TSC services.
One of the most important online service introduced by the commission in 2021 was the Online Transfer platform.
Once the teachers have submitted their transfer requests, they are reviewed by the Appointment Board.
To start the transfer process, one needs to initiate the request through the Head of Institution. TSC also allows teachers to swap with other teachers with similar combinations to a region where one prefers to move to.
Submitting your transfer request is not a automatic that it will be approved because this is subject to approval by relevant authorities involved. The parties involved the Head of institution and the county/Sub-County Directors
How to Apply for Transfer
- On your browser, type this link http://www.tsc.go.ke then select online services then teacher transfer.
- Enter your TSC number, ID number and phone number the click login.
- You will receive a six digit authentication code in your registered Mobile number. Enter that code in the field below the click on Login.
- The system will automatically detect whether you are a primary school teacher or secondary school teacher.
- You will now click on ‘ Submit a request for transfer’ then proceed.
- You will be presented with a form, enter all the required details and check the declaration box then click Ok
- Details of your current station will be displayed and the requested county.
- You will now click on file attachment button to attach the necessary documents to serve as proof for your requested transfer.
- In the window, you decide to edit your details if you did not enter them correctly, you can also withdraw the transfer request and also print a copy of your request.
- When attaching the documents, click on Browse button to attach your file
- You will be required to enter your remarks then check the dialog box and click OK after all the attachments have been uploaded.
- After you are done, you can now click on submit button.
- The application status changes to pending after successful submitting your application.
- You can now click on exit to log out of the system.
Head of Institution Recommendations
Remember your transfer request for it to be considered, it must be recommended by the Head of your Institution. This can be done via the Institution E-mail or the HOI portal.
Email Recommendations (Procedure)
- Open the institution E-mail and click on the E-mail Notification link in order to proceed.
- Enter your comments as the Head of institution and then click on submit.
Recommendation via HOI Portal
- On your browser, type this link www.tsc.go.ke and click Online Services, then select HRMIS and click on ‘Teacher Transfer’ button
- Enter your details including TSC number, ID number and Mobile phone number then click on Login.
- You will receive a six digit authentication code in you mobile phone number which you will enter the last field and click login.
- After logging in, all the incoming transfer requests will be displayed in the HOI portal
- You will click on the action button to recommend the transfer and input your comments then click on submit button.
