KNEC Advertises Exam Assessors Recruitment; How to Apply. The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has announced its intention to recruit examiners nationwide for the oral and practical components of the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).

According to KNEC, qualified individuals will undergo training before participating in the national practice. It’s worth noting that individuals already listed in KNEC’s database of assessors need not apply for these positions.

During the practice, examiners will oversee assessments in various subjects, including Power Mechanics, Electricity, Aviation Technology, French Oral, German Oral, Arabic Oral, Kenyan Sign Language Signing Practical, and Music Practical.

Requirements for prospective examiners include being an active teacher or tutor in the relevant subjects, registration with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) or a recognized professional group, possession of at least a diploma in education or a related field, and a minimum of three years’ teaching experience.

Additionally, candidates for aviation technology roles must hold a diploma in aeronautical engineering. Other prerequisites include a recommendation from the candidate’s employer, not being on probation or any other work-related time-out, and being under the age of 50.

How to apply

Applicants can apply through the KNEC examiners’ platform, accessible via the link https://examinersapp.knec.ac.ke. Those with CP2 accounts should log in using their usernames and passwords.

For individuals who have forgotten their CP2 passwords, there is an option to reset it by providing their phone number. CP2 users without existing accounts can create one by following the provided steps.

Once logged in, candidates should complete their profiles and proceed to apply for assessors’ vacancies.
