KNEC Calls For KCSE Examiners Application. The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has announced that training for Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examiners will occur from August 18 to August 24, 2024.

KNEC has specified that the training fee of Sh10,500 will be required only from shortlisted candidates, who will receive payment instructions via text message (SMS) and the portal.

“The examiner must be a practicing teacher in the relevant subject areas at the level of exam

ination,” KNEC noted.Examiners must be registered and/or employed by the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).

Applicants must possess a diploma in education or higher and have a minimum of three years of teaching experience.

Additionally, examiners must not be under interdiction or any form of disciplinary action by the TSC.

The commission stated that examiners need a recommendation from their head of institution and must be 50 years of age or younger.KNEC mentioned that training slots are limited and only those who meet all the qualifications and submit the required documents will be shortlisted.

The venue for the training will be communicated to the successful applicants later, and the training will be strictly residential.

“Teachers who are already trained as KCSE examiners and are in the KNEC database need not apply,” KNEC clarified.

“Those who have forgotten their CP2 passwords should click on the ‘reset password’ button, enter their mobile number in the format (2547*****) and submit to receive new passwords for logging into the system,” KNEC shared.

Those without CP2 accounts should click on Create Account and follow the instructions to acquire login credentials.Once logged in, applicants should complete their personal profile and save it.

On the dashboard, they should click on apply for training, where all the declared vacancies will be available for selection.
