Key amendments proposed in the TSC Amendment Bill include:

1.House Allowance: All teachers employed by the commission will receive a house allowance at a rate set by the TSC. Teachers under interdiction will continue to receive their full house allowance until their cases are resolved.

2.Commuter Allowance: Teachers will receive a commuter allowance; however, those under interdiction or suspension will be ineligible for this benefit.

3. Hardship Allowance: Teachers assigned to schools in designated hardship areas will be granted a hardship allowance, calculated at a rate specified by the TSC.

4. Special Duty Allowance: This allowance is available to teachers performing administrative duties beyond their job group, as well as those stationed in arid and semi-arid regions. 5. Responsibility Allowance: Heads of institutions, deputy heads, and senior teachers in job group ‘K’ are eligible for this allowance. The payment continues until the teacher retires or is no longer in an administrative role.

6. Special School Allowance: This is provided to teachers assigned to special schools or those with special units, with the amount determined by the Commission.

– Reader’s Facilitation or Aid Allowance: Paid by the National Council of Persons with Disabilities, this allowance is given to teachers who are blind, deaf, mute, or have physical disabilities.

– Leave Allowance: Teachers will receive an annual leave allowance based on rates set by the commission.

– Transfer Allowance: This allowance will be provided to teachers who are transferred to different schools.
