TSC Sub-County Directors To Receive Vehicles To Ease Movement While On Duty
|TSC Sub-County Directors are going to receive vehicles that will ease their movement while on official duty. This has been made clear by the TSC CEO Dr. Nancy Macharia representative Boniface Okumu.
The Teachers Service Commission TSC, has hinted a plan to acquire 160 vehicles that will be distributed across all Sub-counties in the country that will improve service delivery and ease movement of Sub-County Directors while on official duty.
This was said during the Sub-county Directors three days workshop in Naivasha where one of the facilitators representing the Directorate of Administration, by Boniface Okumu.
It was also noted that the Teachers Service Commission had written to the National Treasury to approve a budget to buy 160 vehicles to be disbursed across all Sub-counties to ease movement of its representative in the region while on official duty.
During the workshop, Sub-County Directors was recommended for the good work by the Teachers Service Commission acting director of staffing Lentojoini and asked them to exercise Patience as they solve the Career Progression Guidelines (CPG) issues.
TSC Sub-County Directors To Receive Vehicles
The Sub-county Directors were advised to apply for promotions by the Commission’s Director of Legal, Labor and industrial Relations Calvin Anyuor saying that the Career Progression Guidelines for the TSC secretariat staff has created more opportunities for Sub-County Directors to be promoted.
One of the new area that has been introduced in the new guidelines is that the Sub-county Directors will be deputies by a Teacher Management Officer (TMO) as compared to currently where the SCDs are deputies by the Sub-county Human Resource Officers (HROs)
Confusion has been witnessed in the TSC structure as TMOs are being deployed on equal ranks like that of Sub-County Directors.
The workshop that began of 18th April 2024 and Ended on 20th April 2024, saw 394 Sub-County Directors attending where the major aim of the workshop was to train the field officers on how to Effectively carry out their mandate of TSC as the constitution requires.
Recently, the Ministry of Education distributed vehicles to all its Sub-County Directors across the country in a bid to ease their movement in the region when executing their mandate when on official duty.
