TSC Transfer Allowance Rates Payable to Transferred Teachers
|TSC Transfer Allowance Rates Payable to Transferred Teachers. Teachers employed by the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) may encounter situations where they need to relocate from one station to another, prompting the need to request transfer allowance.
The transfer allowance, which facilitates the transition between stations, can be initiated either by the teacher or by the commission itself.
When the TSC initiates a transfer, the affected teacher becomes eligible for the TSC transfer allowance, which assists in covering expenses associated with settling into the new station. This allowance aims to support teachers as they adapt to their new work environments, particularly those who are transferred outside their sub-counties.
The amount of transfer allowance corresponds to one month’s basic salary of the teacher. Eligibility for this allowance is limited to teachers transferred outside their sub-counties, with the crucial condition that the TSC must be the initiator of the transfer.
To claim the TSC transfer allowance, teachers must fill out the TSC Transfer claim Form, which can be obtained from the TSC website or their institution. It’s imperative to ensure the form is fully completed, signed by both the teacher and the head of the institution, and stamped.
Additionally, the head of the institution must attach the casualty return to the form before forwarding it to the employer.
Once the form is completed, it should be forwarded to the TSC through the head of the institution for further processing.
In cases where the transfer allowance is not processed in a timely manner, teachers can follow up with the TSC through the sub-county or county director, or by contacting TSC headquarters via phone, email, or in-person visit. TSC Transfer Allowance Rates Payable to Transferred Teachers
